Modesto Police Seek Daughter of Homicide Victim

MODESTO - Detectives with the Modesto Police Department investigated a homicide Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to a home on Kee Lane for a report of a suspicious death and discovered a deceased elderly woman.

It was later determined that the elderly woman was the victim of a homicide. Officials say the victim has a daughter, identified as 53 year old Gisele Tadlock, and would like to speak to her.

Police are asking anyone who may know where Tadlock is to contact Detective Martin at (209) 342-6116.

STOCKTON - A 34 year old woman was arrested after allegedly stealing an ambulance and led officers on a pursuit.

Shortly after 6:00pm Monday, Stockton Police officers responded to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a report of a person who stole an ambulance. Officers located the vehicle a short time later near the area of Bianchi Road and Townehome Drive and attempted to stop it. Police say the driver then fled, leading officers on a pursuit.

The vehicle reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour as the vehicle reached Interstate 5. Police then turned the pursuit over to the California Highway Patrol, who located the vehicle as it reached Highway 12 near Lodi. Officers were able to stop the vehicle as it was turning onto Highway 12 and take the driver into custody.

Natasha Scott, 34, was arrested on multiple charges including auto theft and evading officers.

Turlock Police Investigate Homicide

TURLOCK - Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found shot dead in a home.

Shortly before 11:30am, police were called to a trailer home on the 100 block of Almond Avenue after a citizen reported a person who appeared deceased. Officers arrived and located a 50 year old man identified as Daniel Russell. Authorities say Russell was shot at least one time.

Detectives interviewed witnesses and gathered evidence at the scene, and believe the victim was shot and killed several hours before being discovered. Authorities say the shooting was not random or gang related, and that the victim and suspect(s) may have known each other. A motive for the crime was not released by police.

Tracy Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

TRACY - Police investigated a shooting that claimed one life and injured four others Thursday evening.

Police responded to the end of West 6th Street in Tracy for a report of a shooting. First responders located a juvenile suffering from at least one gunshot wound who was pronounced deceased. Four other victims arrived at a hospital suffering from injuries, but those were considered non-life threatening.

Lieutenant Terry Miller with the Tracy Police Department said the incident began as an altercation near railroad property that carried into the street. The cirumstances of the altercation and the events leading up to the shooting were still under investigation.

Several police cars and ambulances were gathered at a nearby hospital but it was unclear if there was any connection to the shooting. Police closed off traffic on Tracy Boulevard as investigators examined the scene.

No suspect information was released. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the Tracy Police Department.

Suspicious Death Investigated

MODESTO - Authorities with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office investigated a suspicious death Monday morning.

Fire and EMS personnel were called to an apartment on Imperial Avenue for a medical call indicating a person down in the home. When they arrived they located an adult woman who had obvious signs of death.

Detectives responded and took over the investigation. No identification of the woman or cause of death was released Monday, however the incident was said to be suspicious in nature.

Suspects Open Fire in Turlock Home Depot

TURLOCK - Police responded to a report of gunfire inside of a Home Depot Store early Wednesday morning.

At about 4:20am, authorities received several 911 calls from Home Depot employees reporting a burglary in progress. At least one caller reported gunfire while on the phone with a dispatcher. Responding police officers arrived at the business within three minutes, but the suspects had already fled.

Authorities said the two suspects entered the business by force through the south doors. Both suspects were inside the store for about a minute when one opened fire. He fled out the north door, while the other fled back out through the south door. Both suspects, believed to be men in their 20's were wearing dark colored clothing and had their faces covered. They left the area in an unknown type vehicle.

Pastor Arrested on Child Molestation Charges

STOCKTON - Police announced the arrest of a pastor who was also a volunteer police chaplain on child molestation charges.

Authorities said Wednesday on May 14th, two girls ages 12 and 15 reported that they were molested by their church pastor. Detectives conducted an investigation and arrested 57 year old Bruce Echevarre on child molestation charges.

Police say Echevarre was a pastor at the United Church of the Living God in Stockton. He was immediately relieved of his chaplain duties.

No further details of the crime were released, however authorities are seeking any more potential victims and are encouraging them to come forward.
