Manteca Woman Killed in Traffic Collision

LODI - A 46 year old Manteca woman was killed in a traffic collision on Highway 99 early Friday morning.

The crash happened at about 5:23am near the Cherokee Lane exit in Lodi on the northbound lanes of Highway 99. For unknown reasons, the gray 2013 Toyota sedan left the highway and collided into a road sign and a tree before coming to a stop.

Emergency crews arrived to provide aid, but the woman was pronounced deceased in her vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol, road conditions were wet and the weather was moderate rain.

Authorities are still trying to determine if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash, and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the vehicle prior to the crash to contact the Stockton area CHP office at (209) 938-4800.

Nice try, but this is bullshit. If you're going to post a story that doesn't have her name or any information about her life, maybe try getting your information correct. The woman who died was my mother. She drove a CAMRY not a sedan. And I'm pretty sure it isn't a traffic collision if no one hit her. Maybe get your facts before you type up ANOTHER bullshit story.

Sorry for your loss. We would encourage you to contact the California Highway Patrol for any complaints you may have. They are the agency that released the information contained in the article.

A sedan is not a particular model of a vehicle. A sedan is defined as an enclosed auto having two or four doors that can transport two or four persons. It is in fact a traffic collision. A traffic related incident. A vehicle in traffic that collides (with a vehicle or other object, guardrail tree or other object) would be involved in a collision. When CHP issues a report of an incident such as this to a news agency, it is titled "Report of Collision."

Regarding your mother's life, you're right. We have no information about that. She was not identified by name in the article, only in your comment. If there is anything you would like to share about your mother, or perhaps have a fundraiser we can help share for a memorial service (we have shared many for others in the past) we would be happy to help out with that.

If you have any other questions regarding the article feel free to reach out to us.

    Best wishes, CVTV staff.

I'm guessing your mom suddenly remembered you were her daughter and purposely ran into the tree.
