PATTERSON - Authorities cited many drivers suspected of participating in a sideshow Sunday afternoon.
After sideshow activity summoned a response from many law enforcement officials in the Modesto and Keyes area Saturday night, authorities say the activity continued Sunday in Patterson.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office, a group from Sacramento came to Patterson for a sideshow. After being asked to leave town, authorities cited those who decided to remain.
In total, authorities issued 48 tickets, towed one vehicle and made one arrest.
STOCKTON - Authorities are investigating a collision that claimed the life of a 16 year old girl Saturday afternoon.
Police say that about 3:00pm the teen was on the railroad tracks in the area of Garfield and West Scotts Avenues when she was struck by an Amtrak passenger train.
Emergency crews arrived and pronounced the teen deceased at the scene. Police officers responded to take over the investigation.
One witness indicated on social media that the teen may have been attempting to rescue a dog on the tracks.

LODI - A 46 year old Manteca woman was killed in a traffic collision on Highway 99 early Friday morning.
The crash happened at about 5:23am near the Cherokee Lane exit in Lodi on the northbound lanes of Highway 99. For unknown reasons, the gray 2013 Toyota sedan left the highway and collided into a road sign and a tree before coming to a stop.
Emergency crews arrived to provide aid, but the woman was pronounced deceased in her vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol, road conditions were wet and the weather was moderate rain.
Authorities are still trying to determine if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash, and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the vehicle prior to the crash to contact the Stockton area CHP office at (209) 938-4800.
MODESTO - Authorities are seeking the driver who fled their vehicle early Saturday morning after a crash that claimed the life of an elderly woman.
The crash happened shortly before 4:30am in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near the South 9th Street exit. A white Honda traveling north collided with an RV in the slow lane, causing both vehicles to end up in the shoulder. The RV landed on its side.
The driver of the Honda fled on foot from the vehicle. A K-9 unit with the Ceres Police Department responded to the scene to attempt to track down the driver, but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was registered to an owner in Ceres.
An 84 year old woman riding in the back of the RV was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and passenger, men in their 50's and 60's, suffered major injuries from the crash. All were said to be Washington residents.

STOCKTON - A man was killed early Tuesday morning as he attempted to cross a street against a light, police say.
The collision happened at about 6:05am near the intersection of California and Walnut. A motorist traveling south on California was driving through a green light continuing through the intersection at Walnut when the pedestrian crossed his path and was struck.
Emergency crews arrived on scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased. Traffic officers responded to take over the investigation.
The pedestrian was only identified as an adult male.
MODESTO - A Pedestrian was killed after being struck by a train in downtown Modesto Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly after 6:30pm, dispatched near the intersection of 8th and K Streets. Emergency crews arrived on scene and located the pedestrian, only identified as an adult male, behind the lumber yard north of L Street.
First responders arrived and pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The stopped freight train blocked several downtown intersections as authorities investigated the crash.
MERCED COUNTY - Emergency crews responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Highway 99 Sunday evening.
The incident was dispatched to the California Highway Patrol at about 7:46pm and reported to be in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near the Collier Road offramp. Early reports indicate a male attempted to run across the highway and was struck by a vehicle.
Fire and ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene. Traffic was stopped at Hammett and Winton Parkway. Highway Patrol says the collision scene was blocking the number one lane.
At time of publication, the extent of injuries was not available.
