RAIDERS INJURY WOES CONTINUE

Written by

Oakland, CA. - The Raiders will be without their top two Running backs once again for this weekend's game against the high flying New Orleans Saints.

Both starter Darren McFadden, and top back-up Mike Goodson are still wearing protective boots on their injured ankles and have been ruled out for Sunday's game. Marcell Reece, Jeremy Stewart, and Taiwan Jones will most likely be asked to handle the ball carrying duties.

Safety Tyvon Branch is also hurting with a neck injury and has missed the last two practices, his status is questionable, as is safety Matt Giordano who missed Wednesdays practice with a concussion. It may be rough sailing for the Raider's secondary if their two top safety's miss the game. Drew Brees and his myriad of receivers lead the NFL in passing yards this year.

Wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey is also questionable with a bad hammy, but it looks like TE Brandon Myers (concussion) will be a go as he has been cleared to participate in all football related activities.
