Late on Friday, July 15 a 2003 Honda CR-V stopped at a red light on the corner of Tully Road and Kiernan Avenue in Modesto was rear ended by a 2000 black Jaguar.
The Jaguar was travelling at a high speed when it collided into the Honda heading eastbound on Keirnan, which caused the Jaguar to lodge underneath the Honda. The impact launched the cars 200 feet forward and both cars caught fire.
All three passengers in the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jaguar fled the scene, limping away. A witness told CHP that the only characteristic they were able to make out was that the driver was a male.
It is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
The driver of the jaguar has still not been found.
