Man Arrested For Terrorist Threats and False Imprisonment

STOCKTON - Police arrested a man on terrorist threat and false imprisonment charges following a disturbance at a home Friday afternoon.

Authorities say a man at a home on the 1600 block of Chaparral Way was in an argument with a woman about relationship issues. The man had been drinking and threatened to kill the woman. She barricaded herself away from the man in an upstairs bedroom with their 13 year old son.

Police SWAT officers, Crisis Negotiators and a drone unit arrived to assist with the incident. The SWAT team made a fast entry into the home when the man tried to break into the room where the woman and the boy were hiding. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police located a loaded AR-15 rifle and a safe believed to contain two more firearms.

Thomas Stevens, 38, was arrested on charges including terrorist threats and false imprisonment. No injuries were reported during the incident.
