Neighbors were puzzled by the shooting, not knowing why someone would open fire on the family, especially during a gathering to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Rita Guerrero, a nearby neighbor who rushed to help and found the wounded victims, said one of the victims was a young man who had recently graduated high school. Police also say they have no reason to believe the family was targeted.
