MODESTO - Flyers discovered at a College Area neighborhood church Sunday morning have caused concern and outrage among several residents.

The flyer, credited to a local chapter of the group "The Daily Stormer," was found taped to the doors of the College Avenue United Church of Christ.

The flyer reads "More children are molested by rich Jews than are killed by AR-15s. Ban Jews not guns."

Copies of the flyer were posted by persons unknown on the sanctuary doors and a fence of the church.

Residents were upset by the discovery, and weren't sure who committed the act. Although the church is not a Jewish congregation, those aware of the act were compelled to show their support for the Jewish community.

The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Andrew Anglin as the founder of the Neo Nazi site Daily Stormer, also listing him as a "prolific internet troll and a serial harasser."

The Daily Stormer website is described on Wikipedia as "an American far right neo Nazi, White Supremacist, and Holocaust denial commentary and message board website that advocates for the genocide of Jews."

Area residents continued to express dismay into the week as word of the flyers spread on social media. Nearby college campus bulletin boards were checked for additional flyers. None were found there, although similar flyers from the same group were circulated in the past.
