Update: Police Arrest Man Who Stabbed Girlfriend

STOCKTON - Police arrested a 28 year old man after they say he stabbed his girlfriend Sunday night.

The incident happened at about 8:33pm at a home near the 1000 block of North Sutter Street. The suspect was disciplining his child when his girlfriend stepped in and began to discipline the child also.

Authorities say the suspect felt she was too aggressive and pushed her down on a bed. He then stabbed her once in the chest with a pocket knife. She was transported to a local hospital where she was expected to survive.

The suspect, identified as 28 year old Alex Macias, was arrested on an attempted homicide charge.

At least he was attempting to defend His Child, unlike many participating and abusing and/or murdering their child... Needing more information, so speculating and leaving comment until updated, but doesn't deserve to be arrested, IF he was protecting His Child from being abused!! js my opinion..
