  • STOCKTON - Police investigated the fatal shooting of a man who was found wounded near an intersection late Wednesday night. Shortly after 11:00pm police were called to a report of a man shot near the intersection of Sierra Nevada and Poplar Streets. Arriving officers located the victim, identified only as a man in his 20's, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man was rushed to a hospital where he later died.     Early Morning Homicide Investigated Near Park

  • STOCKTON - Police arrested a man in connection to a homicide in late April. Shortly after 2:30am Saturday morning, police spotted a man wanted for a homicide near the area of Interstate 5 and Eighth Street. The suspect fled on foot with officers giving chase, ultimately arresting him. At about 11:40am officers with the Modesto Police Department were called to the area of 18th and G Streets for a report of a woman who was found behind several businesses.
