Cold overnight temperatures made for guaranteed ice this morning throughout the central valley area. The national weather service recommends you keep rock salt handy for slippery walkways, plenty of batteries and non perishable food items in case of power outages, and adequate winter clothing and blankets to keep warm. If you have a fireplace, remember to check before you burn.
